When One Door Closes . . .

In my life in the last few months (and, if we’re being honest, couple of years), there have been a lot of doors closing – and you know what they say: When one door closes, another opens. I believe that fully, and that the space that is being created will be filled with something even better than that which has left. But boy oh boy – is this EVER testing my patience, and desire to experience more presence and peace! I would be the first to admit, patience has never really been my strong point, so you can imagine how frustrated I get when I find another door closing . . . picture Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory singing, “I Want It Now”!
So, I am learning how to accept the fact that sometimes I have to wait to see results, and also to honor the emotions as they arise in the “space”. What a great lesson in patience and peace this is . . . 😉

“Don’t spend time beating on a wall, hoping to transform it into a door.” –Coco Chanel
To me, this quote means that sometimes there was never a door in front of us in the first place. Recognizing that, and moving on, allows us to move forward toward better things.
